This charming antique needle case is crafted from turned wood, featuring a cylindrical form with incised line decoration and a snug-fitting push cap. Inside, it would have originally held sewing needles, keeping them safe and organized for travel or daily use. The case is lightweight and tactile, with a rich aged patina and a tiny hole in the cap for ventilation. Store and protect sewing needles, display as part of a vintage sewing collection, or use as a conversation piece.  Late 19th century.
