Shipping & Handling
Origin: All items are shipped from New Jersey, USA.
Shipping Carriers: We primarily ship via trusted carriers such as USPS (United States Postal Service). The choice of carrier depends on the item's size, weight, value, and your shipping address to ensure the most efficient and secure delivery.
Processing Time: Most orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation. Please note that larger, more fragile, or high-value items may require additional time for specialized packaging and handling. We will notify you if your order requires extended processing.
Business Days: Our shipping operations run Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Shipping Costs:
Shipping costs are calculated based on the item's weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping speed.
You will see the exact shipping cost for your order during the checkout process before final payment.
Free shipping on Domestic orders over $100*. For certain delicate, oversized, or high-value items, specialized packaging and insurance may be included in the shipping cost.*
Tracking: All domestic shipments include tracking information. You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has shipped.
Delivery Times:
Standard Shipping: Typically 3-7 business days after processing.
Expedited Shipping: Available for select items at an additional cost, typically 2-3 business days after processing. Please contact us prior to purchase if you require expedited shipping.
Insurance: Most items are shipped with insurance coverage appropriate to their value. This protects both you and us in the rare event of loss or damage during transit.
Signature Confirmation: For high-value items (typically over $350), signature confirmation may be required upon delivery to ensure secure receipt. If signature confirmation is required, it will be noted in your shipping confirmation email.
Packaging: We take extreme care in packaging all items. Antiques often require special attention due to their age and fragility. We use a combination of appropriate packing materials such as bubble wrap, packing peanuts, foam, and sturdy boxes to ensure safe transit.
Whenever possible, we strive to use recycled or repurposed packing materials without compromising the safety of your item.
Currently, I ship within the continental United States.
Fragile items are packed with extra care, using bubble wrap, foam padding, and sturdy boxes. I personally pack each item and use “Fragile” labels with handling instructions. For especially delicate pieces, local pickup or specialized shipping may be recommended.
While we pack every item with extreme care from our New Jersey location, unforeseen damage can occasionally occur during transit. Under these circumstances: you must contact us within 5 business days of delivery (as confirmed by shipping carrier tracking). Please include the following in your email to info@ginkgohomeandantiques.com:
Your order number and the item description
The date your package was delivered
Photos of the damaged item from multiple angles
Photos of the packaging (including the box and any protective materials)
A brief description of the damage
I will keep you updated during the process. Most resolutions take about 5–10 business days.
If your tracking information shows an item as delivered but you have not received it, or if your shipment appears to be lost in transit, please contact us immediately. We will assist you in contacting the shipping carrier to investigate. Please understand that we cannot be held responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery.
