Hand-thrown early American stoneware/redware pitcher likely made in Northeastern US. Ovoid body with a narrow neck and a single pulled handle. The slightly irregular rim, partial glazing, and unsigned piece are consistent with hand-thrown pottery from the 18th to 19th centuries. Rich, earthy patina with visible kiln and handwork marks. Such pitchers were typically used for water, milk, or other liquids. A beautiful example of early American craftsmanship - perfect for collectors or as a unique accent for your home.
Approx. 6" Diameter, 7.5" height
Well-preserved, with great color and form. Minor age-appropriate wear.
Care Tip: Never put in dishwasher or microwave. Avoid soaking in water, use a dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning.
