This framed Japanese woodblock print entitled 'Mt. Fuji from Narusawa' depicts a tranquil rural village scene with Mt. Fuji in the background, rendered in soft pastel tones and fine detail. The composition features traditional thatched-roof farmhouses, a field, and distant mountains, capturing the serene beauty of the Japanese countryside.

Created in 1936, Hausi was a prominent artist in the shin-hanga (new prints) movement that blended traditional ukiyo-e styles with modern subjects and realistic light/shadow effects.  As a child, Hausi studied under Aoyagi Bokusen and Araki Kan'yu and as an adult with Okada Saburosuke and Kaburagi Kiyokata.
